About Me

I was raised by rock stars and jazz singers in the quiet town of Las Vegas, Nevada. Because my parents are professional musicians, I spent quite a bit of my childhood in green rooms backstage at their shows, singing along at full volume, and aching to get in front of an audience. My love for performing was matched only by my love for books, which eventually grew to be a committed relationship with theatre — the only logical next step for a little girl obsessed with stories. I moved to Seattle when I was 14, and found myself head-over-heels for musical theatre, which combined my two great loves.

After being fortunate enough to book some regional theatre work in Seattle in high school (5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, SHOWTUNES), I decided to move clear across the country to Pittsburgh for college, and entered Point Park University’s BFA Musical Theatre program. I spent two years training in this program, before feeling an unignorable itch to get out in the world as soon as possible and start making a career for myself (little did I know when I made this decision in 2019, how quickly the world would turn on its head in 2020…) I followed my impulse, and switched from a four-year degree in Musical Theatre to a three-year degree in Theatre Arts, adding a Minor in English Literature as I went, in honor of the little girl reading Anne of Green Gables in Las Vegas dressing rooms.

At my core, I am a dedicated lover of words, and my passion for literature feeds into my approach to acting, singing, writing — to my approach to life as a whole. I believe that words carry enormous power, and that art has the potential to change everything. Throughout every step of my life (including brief stints as a horse rancher, a show girl, and most recently, a Sommelier), I’ve known it would always end with theatre. I’m thrilled and relieved to see musical theatre rising from the ashes of an international pandemic, and that we’re finally able to gather again in the same space to find our humanity in art.
